Derek Daly Annual Memorial 5Km Walk/Run

The annual Derek Daly Memorial 5Km Walk/Run is an event looked forward to every year by members and friends of Garrycastle GAA Club. It is an event that has truly embedded itself as a Christmas tradition for members and friends of the club.

This year, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, our usual St. Stephens Day gathering cannot happen, but we are not going to let that stop us!

So to keep the tradition going, this year we are going Virtual !

Participants can run or walk 5Km or cycle 10Km from any location at home or abroad across 2 days this year - Saturday 26th December and Sunday 27th December.

The cost of entry will be €10 for individuals or €20 per family.

This event is open to all, young and old, men & women, fit and not-so-fit, and is the perfect way to start to burn off the effects of the turkey and ham and pudding and brandy butter and sprouts and trifle and chocolates and the few glasses of beer or wine!

This is a great way to burn off some of the Christmas excess, while supporting a great local cause.
