Deepest Sympathy

It is with tremendous pain and sadness we learned of the untimely passing of Staci Daly (nee Wykes).

A former player with our club from underage to senior, Staci,  a talented and skillful footballer, won accolades at all levels, including 2 All-Ireland Féile titles, 2 senior championship titles as well as representing her county numerous times at underage.

All of us in the Garrycastle club extend heartfelt sympathy to Staci’s husband Cathal, her mother Jackie who is a loyal supporter and heavily involved in our club, to Pat, Linda, her grandparents Billy, Imelda & Peggy, to the extended family and to her friends and colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

Garrycastle GAA Online Bingo is now Closed

We started our Online Bingo in the club in the dark days of the Covid lockdowns on the St. Patrick’s Weekend in 2021, but now, after more than 2 years of online Bingo in Garrycastle GAA Club, a decision has been taken that we will no longer run online Bingo from FRIDAY AUGUST 18th, 2023

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge "Thank you!" to all our regular online players, for your support and encouragement since we began in March 2021. Your support has been of great help to the development of the youth facilities in Garrycastle GAA Club.

Equally, another huge "Thank you!" also to all of those in the club who gave of their time and expertise to make the Online Bingo a success, it couldn’t have happened without a lot of hard work from a great bunch of people.

History maker!

Well done to the Westmeath Ladies team, who had a comprehensive win over Longford in Pearse Park, Longford in round-2 of the TG4 Intermediate championship on Sunday (June 18th).

Special mention to Garrycastles own Aoife Connolly, who as well as scoring 2-04 on the day, also kicked a '45 meter free, which in Ladies football is worth 2 points.

Aoife makes history as the first ever LGFA player to score two '45-meter frees,  an incredible achievement.

Everyone in Garrycastle are super proud of our very own history maker!

Cleachtadh a dhéanann máistreacht - practice makes perfect!
