GARRYCASTLE 5-18, KILBEGGAN/ST. JOSEPHS 3-06

Our U14s travelled to Kilbeggan on a miserable last Thursday evening and came away with the 2 points on offer after a workmanlike performance played in very difficult conditions with a strong wind and constant rain all through the game. Playing with the aid of the strong wind in the first half some direct Garrycastle football contributed to a healthy first half score of 3-09 which was offset somewhat by the concession of two very sloppy and needless goals leaving Kilbeggan on 2-03 at the half time break.
The lads were aware that they needed to up the performance in the second half facing into a the wind and they did just that playing some excellent running football which produced some fine scores leaving the full time score 5-18 to 3-06.
This was a fine panel performance from all on the night especially in the second half.
