Garrycastle made it four wins from four matches in the round robin section against tough opposition, Ballycomoyle, last week. It was a well contested match with some very good football played by both sides.  Garrycastle led throughout mainly thanks to their ability to score goals and they stretched the lead to as many as eight points midway through the second half.  However, Ballycomoyle narrowed the deficit to one point with two goals in quick succession five minutes from time.  However, with Sarah Carter, Ciara Finn and Elaine McGovern to the fore, Garrycastle picked up the pace again and rattled in two more goals and two well worked points to win on a score line of 6-5 to 2-8.   Elaine McGovern had a super game and recorded a total of 3-2 from play, with scores set up by passes from Ciara Shiels, Ciara Finn, Kacey Mulvihill, Donnahay Molloy and Shauna Jameson who had a great game in defence.  Aoife Galvin also deserves mention for her performance at full forward along with Gemma Duffy who made some very good saves and Emma Kearney who intercepted a certain goal at a crucial stage near the end of the game.  Squad: Amy Duffy, Amy McGovern, Aoife Galvin (2-0), Arlene Devery, Chloe Fitzgerald, Ciara Finn (0-2), Ciara Shiels (0-1), Danielle Devery, Donnahay Molloy, Emma Kearney, Elaine McGovern (3-02), Gemma Duffy, Jasmine Molloy, Jessica Frawley, Kacey Mulvihill, Meliagh McDonagh, Orlaith Lynch, Roisin Murphy, Sarah Carter (1-0), Shauna Jameson.
