After a long time since the last game the division 6 team dusted off the boots and recorded an excellent win against Tang on Sunday last in Garrycastle. Twenty players, a combination of experienced and inexperienced, wore the green and red on Sunday with a feature of the game being the excellent performance of the younger players. Tang started the stronger and got an early lead but the Garrycastle lads got going and a goal by Karl Henson brought them within two points at halftime.

The second half was a topsy turvy affair with the lead changing hands a number of times. Goals from Brian Ruane and a late one by Paul Mulvihill ensured that Garrycastle led by a couple of points at the final whistle. The introduction of young fresh legs in the second half was a great boost to Garrycastle.
