The division 3 team earned the second draw for a Garrycastle team over the weekend on Sunday in Mullingar, with a late point from Jason Nugent. This game was played on the artificial pitch in Lakepoint Park. St. Lomans started well, scoring the first four points and led by 0-5 to 0-2 after 15 minutes. However, Garrycastle came well into the game in the second quarter scoring 1-2 without reply, the goal coming from Eoin Monaghan, to leave the halftime score at 1-4 to 0-5 in favour of Garrycastle.
The second half started like the first with St. Lomans again scoring the first four points. At the three-quarter mark, St. Lomans led by a point and from there to near the end scores were swapped leaving Garrycastle needing Jason Nugent's late point to draw. Great credit is due to the team for picking up this valuable league point with a number of players playing their second game inside 24 hours.
