On Saturday morning in the Clann na Gael Tournament the boys and girls of Garrycastle represented their club and county magnificently once again as they took on our Roscommon neighbours - St. Brigids and Clann na Gael. We have come to expect nothing less than a terrific performance from this brilliant bunch of players, and once again we weren’t disappointed. The boys and girls adjusted to the difficult breeze very well,  giving an exhibition in point taking while also remaining extremely tight and secure in the defence. Our two teams (u9’s and u10’s) dug deep to eventually come out on top of our group, winning three of our four matches. We now look forward to the finals which will take place in the coming weeks.

Thanks again to our supporters who came along to cheer on the boys and girls, but a special thanks must be given to the three brilliant u8 players, Erin McHugh, Jack Kilmurray and Darragh Clyne, who were kind enough to join us for the morning when we were unfortunately missing a few members of our panel and who also put in brilliant displays for the team.

Our panel for the day included: Conor McCormack, Van McKay, Rian Gaynor, Andrew Henson, Keelan McNamara, Aaron Keegan, James McHugh, Niadh Shine, James Derwin, Jack Dolan, Mairead McBride, Cristean Turean, Jack Dowling, Daniel Stankard, Dylan Moloney, Senan Nugent, Darragh Glennon, Oisín O’Donoghue, Ronan Croughan, Luke Quilty, Louie Shine, Rhys Larkin, Jack Kilmurray, Erin McHugh, Darragh Clyne.
