Garrycastle stay top of the table with one game left and are guaranteed a place in this years league final.  After a mixed performance this evening with some good fielding by our midfielders and some great scores by our forwards, we still seem to over use the ball and lose it in the tackle, where we lost a lot of possession and this put us under pressure in the early stages of the match. It was a good run out for our players against a young and fit St Marys team fighting to stay in the top Division. Garrycastle lost a player on a double yellow after 15 minutes which let’s say was very harsh. However the team pulled together to grind out this result with some of our experienced players taking control. Our final group game is against our neighbours Athlone this Friday evening in Garrycastle at 7.30pm. Let's come out and support the lads.

GARRYCASTLE: Mark Keenan, Anthony Larkin, John Gaffey, Enda Kenna, Mathew Guiheen, Doran Harte, Gary McCallon, Justin Barrett, Johnny McGuire (0-1), Cathal Mannion (0-1), Dessie Dolan(0-4), Eoin Monaghan, Conor Cosgrave(0-4), James Sheeran(1-0), Tom O’Halloran (1-0).
Subs used: Michael Monaghan for Cathal Mannion; Seanie Donaghue for James Sheeran; Gary Mullery for Justin Barrett (injured); Neil Rattigan for Enda Kenna.
