Castledaly 2-12   Garrycastle 0-8

Garrycastle’s second team had a disappointing visit to Castledaly in their ACL Division 2 match on Tuesday night last for a game which was rescheduled from the previous weekend due to unplayable pitch. In adverse weather conditions of continuous rain and wind, Garrycastle struggled to find any form and were always on the back foot in the first half where the wind favoured the home team.  The early period was marked by poor defending which led to the concession of two goals by the visitors. With a half time score line of 2-8 to 0-4, Garrycastle left themselves with a significant deficit which required a major improvement in the second half to get themselves back in contention. Unfortunately the needed improvement did not materialise. Although the second half score was even at 4 point apiece, Garrycastle never looked like troubling Castledaly who ran out deserving winners on the night.

This was a below par performance and the team will need to quickly put this result behind them and pick up their league campaign in the next match.
