Under-8 challenges vs. St. Brigids

St. Brigids from Kiltoom travelled in to us on Saturday morning for a series of challenge games to start the under-8 year. Given that this was our first outing of the year, it was extremely heartening to get such a great turnout of 29 players on the morning, allowing us to field three teams, and allowing each team to play two matches.

On a cold, but dry, morning, all of the players showed great enthusiasm and no little skill, and a great mornings football was enjoyed by the large number of parents, brothers and sisters present. A special mention to those players for which this was their first time to put on the jersey and play for the club. Welcome - and many more such days to come we hope.

Huge thanks to St. Brigids for travelling, and we look forward to returning the favour later in the summer.
