Our U14s made the short trip to Mount Temple to take on Caulry on Thursday last 8th May and came away with the 2 league points on offer. With only 16 lads available on the night the team showed great spirit particularly in the last 10 minutes to close out the game. This was their 4th win in a row and whilst they have played some great football at times over the last two weeks they are fully aware they need to improve for bigger tests ahead starting with the Feile quarter final on Monday next.
Playing with the advantage of the wind in the first half we built up a decent score of 1-08 at half time through excellent work from Jason Nugent, Eoin Mulvihill and Joe Carmody. However this work was partly undone by conceding 2-02 to Caulry by sloppy defensive play in the first period.

To their credit the lads upped the workrate in the second half after a brief few words from management at half time and would have ran out more comfortable winners but for hitting the cross bar twice and also the posts twice.

Apart from those mentioned their were also fine displays on the night from Patrick McKiernan, Dara Mulvihill and Daragh Kenna.
