Garrycastle Minors finished their League campaign against Maryland/Tang in Tang on Monday April 29th in fine style with a big win despite missing a few regulars. Garrycastle opened the scoring with a Michael Monaghan free but were quickly behind to a goal from the home team.  Garrycastle maintained their composure and tacked on a couple of points. A further point by the opposition followed and then Garrycastle took over to record a further 3 points and finished the half with a goal from Emmet Brennan to leave the half time score of 1-7 to 1-2 in favour of the Green and Red.
The second half started evenly with scores from a number of frees by Michael Monaghan and a 45 which was well executed by Terry Rushe.
Garrycastle were leading by 7 points at this stage when Maryland/Tang scored their second goal. Almost immediately Garrycastle responded with a goal from Terry Rushe followed by a couple more points. The opposition rallied and delivered their third goal but once again Garrycastle responded with a goal from Evan Dalton. The final score of the evening was another goal converted by Donal Byrne.
Final score - Garrycastle 4-13 Maryland/Tang 3-5
