Under 14 Girls and Boys

posted 1 Jul 2019, 03:01 by Matthew Ryan

Last weekend was a busy one for our under 14s , both girls and boys. The girls had qualified for the All Ireland Feile which was held last weekend. They won all three of their league games beating Charlestown(Mayo) , Donnaghmore Ashbourne (Meath) and St Mary s Aghamore (Mayo). This left them in the quarter final against Clongiush (Longford). In the quarter final, after leading at half time they lost the initiative in the second half and finally lost by 7 points. Well done to the  girls and their mentors.

Meanwhile the u14 boys were playing in the Leinster Feile and they beat Walterstown (Meath) before losing to Raheny (Dublin) and Newtown Blues (Louth) in rounds 2 and 3. They performed very well despite a small squad who found themselves running out of steam in the second half of the last game.

Well done to all, this experience will stand to the players.
