Under 10

The Garrycastle Under-10 squad had a busy week, playing two rounds in the Tormeys Solicitors/Clann na nGael Under-10 league. The first outing of the week was on Monday evening, a visit to Ballinasloe. A great turnout of players allowed us to play an under-9 and an under-10 match, and after two very tough matches, the Garrycastle squad emerged triumphant on the evening. These were two very good matches, as the Garrycastle group had to show great strength and determination to achieve the results.

On Wednesday evening, it was the turn of St. Dominics from Knockcroghery to visit Garrycastle. On a lovely evening for football, both clubs gave it their all, with some excellent football on view. On this occasion, the Garrycastle teams were just a little too strong for the visitors, and won out in both games. Overall, this was a good week for the under-10 squad, with a clean sweep in all games played.

The competition continues this week, with an away round in Athlone, followed by a visit of St. Brigids to Garrycastle. Details on match times etc. will be texted out to all parents in advance as usual.
