Ground works in Garrycastle GAA Club

Garrycastle GAA club are embarking on a very ambitious series of projects for 2017.
An application for funding to create an Astroturf style pitch / training area on the eastern end of the main pitch has been lodged already, and plans are being drawn up for change of use of utility sheds to dressing rooms, and permission is being sought to construct two new full size dressing rooms with showers.
We have removed an extra 20 meters of soil to extend the training area up to the back of the hill, and are in the process of clearing and levelling a large area beside the FÁS pitch for seeding.
This ground work at this time of year will result in large wet and muddy areas within the club grounds. While the area has been fenced off and is clearly signed, we would ask all parents to be aware of these changes to our grounds, and to pay particular attention to children who may not be engaged in formal training and under the supervision of our coaches.
Thanks you,
John Henson
Development Officer.
