Under 16

The under 16s lost to Milmore Gaels during the week in the divisions 1 and 2 playoff championship. Missing five first choice players the lads did well to stay in the game until halftime when they were being led by three points. However, they tired in the second half and the floodgates eventually opened.

Underage Snippets

The under 10’s had a blitz with Caulry during last week.  Both clubs fielded two teams with each playing two matches. Play was keen and a feature of the games was the ability of both teams to block cleanly on the foot.  The Garrycastle  boys proved the stronger and won both games.

The under 8s had a blitz in Ballinacargy on Saturday morning last playing Moate All Whites and the hosts. With two teams in action for Garrycastle  the boys played 4 games in total and showed improving skills which is very encouraging.  Thanks to Ballinacargy club for organising an entertaining morning of football.

Last Sunday was a disappointing morning for our under 6s when rain forced their training to be called off. Well done to all who had braved the elements. There’s a break from training next Sunday because of the bank holiday. The next outing will be on the following Sunday, August 13th.
