The Division 1 Final between Garrycastle and St. Loman's is scheduled for Sunday next, July 2nd, at 1pm in TEG Cusack Park.

Huge congratulations to Garrycastle Under-10 player James Derwin, who is having huge success in Irish show jumping. Recently he has won the Coolmore future champions 128 pony Grand Prix in Limerick greyhound stadium.  James was also successful in the Hollygrove Stud 128 metre Grand Prix at the Mullingar international horse show. Well done James from all in Garrycastle.

Important Notice - Dogs on Club Premises

Over the last few weeks a number of parents were asked to remove their dogs from the club grounds, in order to protect our young players. 

Garrycastle GAA club wishes to remind everyone that dogs may not be taken onto the club grounds. This arises from the health threats associated with dog faeces, particularly in areas where young children play. Toxocariasis is a disease caused by roundworm eggs found in dog faeces that may potentially result in eye problems or blindness, and children are particularly at risk. Accordingly, members and non-members are reminded that they should not under any circumstances bring dogs on to the club’s grounds.

Tearz in your Eyes

There will be a launch of the DVD for Tearz in your eyes in Dan’s Tavern on Friday June 9th  at 8 o’clock. Please note that this event is on June 9th  not a month later as indicated in last week’s notes.
